Diwali Celebration and Rangoli Competition (on 21st Oct’11)

Diwali is one of the most important festivals of the year and is celebrated in families by performing traditional activities. In our school too Diwali was celebrated with fun and frolic. Rangoli competition for teachers in coordination with students was kept as a part of the celebration.

Making wonderful and useful things from waste material in an art. Our students were really found creative when they come up with beautiful items from waste materials. They made wall clocks, pen stand, doll, wall hangings and other decorative items.

Bhajan Competition (on 17th Sept’ 11)

A bhajan is any type of Indian devotional song. It was no fixed form : it may be as simple as a mantra or keertan or as sophisticated as the dhrupad or kriti with music based on classical ragas and talas. Keeping the devotional and spiritual importance of bhajans in mind, bhajan singing competition was held for our students.

Story Telling Competition (on 3rd Sept’ 11)

Telling a story prepares the child for public speaking and exposes to the art of presentation. It is also helpful in developing the confidence of an individual, so that stage fear can be removed. Therefore story telling competition was arranged for the students.
