Poster Making Competition April 25, 2011

Earth Day is a day that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s natural environment and is celebrated all over the world on 22nd April of every year.

A Poster Making Competition for students of Grade I to IX was organized on April 25th, 2011 on the occasion of World Earth Day. The students showed off their artistic talents and we are privileged to see a display of bright colours.

The topics given were as under.

• Grade I- III - Go Green
• Grade IV- IX – Love the Earth- It’s the only one we’ve got OR Save the Earth, Save yourself.

Result for Handwriting Competition 2nd July, 2011

"Make no mistake, if handwriting has a poor appearance, the writer is judged poorly by our culture. This won't end tomorrow. Surface features will always attract far more attention than underlying structures. For a person who has poor handwriting, the road ahead is difficult. In spite of the high quality of his ideas and information, the writer will bear a lifelong burden. But such a fate is unnecessary...for those who know how writers develop their skill in handwriting."

Handwriting is not an isolated activity; neither can it be seen solely as a motor activity (all about movement). It is part of language activity. Virginia Berninger refers to handwriting as ‘language by hand’, which is a useful reminder of its context and purpose.

A Hand Writing Competition for students of Grade III to IX was held on 2nd July, 2011. All the students participated in the Hand Writing Competition and enjoyed it.

Drawing Competition December 15, 2010

A drawing competition was organized on December 15, 2010 for the students of grades IV to IGCSE - I based on the theme Christmas. The students showed off their artistic talents and we were privileged to see a display of bright colours. Three winners from each class were awarded certificates of achievement.
